Pacific Coast pop group captures crowd at Concert Series

Seattle-based indie rockers Barcelona raked in the largest crowd of the WTSR-Lions Television (LTV) Concert Series since its induction, playing to a crowd of more than 65 students, a dramatic turnaround after a poorly attended Phil Levinson show two weeks ago. The fourpiece band delighted the audience packing the Kendall Hall television studio with renditions of ʻTreesʼ and ʻLesser Thingsʼ off their 2007 release ʻAbsolutes.ʼ The throng of students moved in time with the groupʼs danceable brand of West Coast pop. The next installment of the WTSR-LTV Concert Series will take place on April 30, featuring the alternative rock band Counterfeit Disaster, the newest project from ex-Coheed and Cambria drummer Josh Eppard.
